The successful candidate will be responsible for providing ongoing support to children and families, including phone and supervisory visits, and ensuring thorough documentation. They will also assist with smooth introductions to foster carers and perform direct work and assessments of children, young people, and foster carers based on identified needs.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide ongoing support via phone and supervisory visits, including occasional unannounced visits, ensuring thorough documentation.
* Support children and families in maintaining contact and assist with smooth introductions to foster carers.
* Perform direct work and assessments of children, young people, and foster carers based on identified needs.
* Ensure Risk Assessments are completed, meeting all requirements and complying with child protection procedures.

Requirements:

* A recognised Social Work Qualification (or similar).
* Demonstrated experience working with children, supporting their individuality and fostering their development.
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and publications related to children's services, as well as current best practices and child safeguarding standards in the state.
* Sound understanding of child protection procedures and the Code of Conduct for Foster Carers.
