About the role:
You will be responsible for maintaining the company's commercial and residential properties. This full-time, hands-on position will see you play a key role in ensuring the company's assets are well-maintained and operational.
What you'll be doing
* Manage and coordinate a team of tradespeople to carry out a range of building maintenance tasks
* Hand on maintenance of facilities
* Assist with new builds
* Perform regular inspections and identify areas requiring maintenance or repair
* Oversee the procurement of materials, tools and equipment necessary for maintenance work
* Liaise with contractors and service providers to schedule and monitor the completion of projects
* Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations and company policies
* Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and report on the performance of the facilities
* Provide support and guidance to the maintenance team
What we're looking for
* Experience as a Building Maintenance Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry
* Proficient in reading and interpreting building plans, schematics and maintenance manuals
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to address maintenance issues efficiently
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with colleagues, contractors and service providers
* Understanding of relevant building codes, safety regulations and maintenance best practices
* Highly organised and able to prioritise and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
