Guidance Officer Role
We are seeking a skilled Guidance Officer to join our multidisciplinary team, providing a comprehensive support service to students.
The successful candidate will be responsible for advocating for students, providing counselling and psychoeducational assessment, and offering individual student support.
* Advocate for students and provide recommendations to teachers and parents concerning educational, behavioural, and career development issues.
* Work with external agencies to provide a case management and referral service that optimises students' access to educational programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide educational and career guidance to students.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best possible support for students.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. education, psychology).
- Proven experience working with students in a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
