Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Payroll Manager who can lead with strategic insight while remaining hands-on and detail-oriented. This role will be instrumental in shaping the payroll function during a period of transformation, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the end-to-end payroll function across multiple sites and complex award structures.
Drive strategic initiatives to modernise payroll systems and processes.
Ensure full compliance with Australian payroll legislation and enterprise agreements.
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to deliver integrated solutions and reporting.
Provide expert advice on legislative changes and risk mitigation.
Mentor and develop a small but capable payroll team.
The Successful Applicant
You are a seasoned payroll professional who thrives in complex environments. You bring a strategic mindset but are equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done. You understand the importance of compliance and accuracy, and you're passionate about building efficient, people-focused payroll operations.
You will bring:
Deep understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and compliance frameworks.
Experience with system upgrades or implementations.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
A collaborative, proactive approach to problem-solving.
