About The Role
As
Senior Systems Engineer
, you will be responsible for the delivery, administration, and ongoing support of MyState's server and network infrastructure. Working within the IT Operations team, you'll provide expert third-level support across a diverse technology stack and play a key role in infrastructure projects, disaster recovery planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This role also participates in an after-hours on-call roster, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide third-level technical support for complex incidents and service requests across the Group
* Administer and maintain server, network, VOIP, video conferencing, and hosted infrastructure
* Support Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments
* Manage Microsoft 365 and Azure DevOps-based Infrastructure-as-Code
* Administer Veeam backup infrastructure and recovery processes
* Manage asset lifecycles, including deployment, upgrades, auditing, and disposal
* Lead infrastructure change, testing, disaster recovery, and threat management activities
* Research and recommend emerging technologies to improve efficiency, security, and cost
* Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes
* Mentor IT Operations team members to build technical capability
What You'll Bring
* 10+ years' experience in systems engineering or infrastructure administration
* IT degree or equivalent experience, with relevant technical certifications preferred
* Strong expertise across server, network, and enterprise infrastructure environments
* Solid knowledge of cybersecurity, threat management, and disaster recovery
* Proven ability to deliver secure, resilient, and customer-focused IT services
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving approach
