The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst – Payroll to support a large-scale payroll program based in Brisbane. This role requires strong hands-on testing capability, deep payroll domain knowledge, and the ability to work closely with business and technical stakeholders.
You will play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and successful delivery across testing phases.
Key Responsibilities
* Execute end-to-end testing across
System Testing, SIT, and UAT
* Validate payroll calculations, awards, allowances, deductions, and superannuation
* Develop and execute detailed test cases and scenarios
* Perform data validation and reconciliation
* Manage defects through to resolution
* Work closely with payroll SMEs, vendors, and business stakeholders
* Support parallel payroll runs and cutover activities where required
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Senior Test Analyst on Payroll projects
* Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processing
* Experience testing complex payroll rules and calculations
* Solid experience across Agile and/or Waterfall delivery
* Strong defect management and documentation skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to work in a hybrid Brisbane-based role
Nice to Have
* Experience with payroll platforms such as Workday, SAP, UKG, Chris21, TechnologyOne, or similar
* Parallel payroll testing experience
* Government or large enterprise project experience
