Position: Level 2/3 Service Desk Engineer Location: West Perth Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 Job Type: Permanent Position Overview: OUI Recruitment is searching for an experienced Level 2/3 Service Desk Engineer to join a growing technology consulting firm in Perth. This organisation specialises in helping businesses implement smart and secure technology solutions, providing expert advice to ensure IT systems are efficient and protected. Perks: Work with a variety of clients across different industries Professional development opportunities and certification support Collaborative team environment with experienced engineers Exposure to cutting-edge technology solutions Career progression opportunities within a growing MSP Modern office facilities in Perth Comprehensive training and mentorship programme Roles and Responsibilities: Handle escalated technical support requests from Level 1 support team Troubleshoot complex technical issues across multiple client environments Provide exceptional customer service whilst maintaining professional client relationships Manage service desk inquiries efficiently to ensure client satisfaction Resolve advanced technical problems independently with minimal supervision Document all support activities and maintain accurate client records Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours support Assist with project implementations and system upgrades Mentor Level 1 engineers and provide technical guidance Collaborate with clients to understand their technology requirements and provide recommendations Role Requirements: Minimum 3-5 years experience in technical support or service desk environments Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Experience managing complex technical issues in MSP environments Customer service focused with professional client-facing skills Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's licence for occasional client site visits Technical Requirements: Strong experience with Windows Server environments and Active Directory Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and cloud-based technologies Knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP Experience with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and service desk best practices Understanding of backup and disaster recovery solutions Experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) Knowledge of endpoint security solutions and antivirus management Desirable Qualifications: ITIL Foundation, CompTIA A, Network, or Security Experience with specific MSP tools and ticketing systems Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices We appreciate your interest in this opportunity.
