*The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Podiatrist - Senior (Inpatient) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Deliver high level podiatry clinical and consultancy services for acute and unstable high-risk foot disease
Lead the development and delivery of health education and promotion programs on foot health
Facilitate the implementation of a new model of care of patients within an inpatient setting
Support the continuum of care of patients with acute and unstable high-risk foot disease
Drive service planning, research and outcome tracking for HRF care.
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Tertiary degree in Podiatry
Post graduate HRF Podiatry clinical experience
AHPRA Registration
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Driver Licence
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

About Us
High Risk Foot Podiatry Services are aimed at increasing access to assessment, diagnosis, management planning and treatment interventions for patients with active foot disease or high risk of developing foot ulcers, which can lead to amputation if not managed in a timely and appropriate fashion. The Podiatrists of GCHHS currently work alongside, Endocrinology, Vascular, Orthopedics, Infectious Diseases, and Diabetes Educators. The Podiatry service provides treatment and management to clients at all GCHHS outpatient and community locations- this role will focus mostly on inpatient Podiatry services and will require regular communications and handover to the hospital Nurse unit managers and AH team leaders.
Reports operationally and professionally to the Director of Podiatry Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS).
