About the Role
Reporting to our Director of Finance and Corporate Services, this permanent full-time role is pivotal to the success of Acacia's finance function. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end financial processes, including month-end reporting, compliance, payroll, and all financial accounting tasks.
This is a hands-on role best suited for someone who enjoys ownership, collaboration, and delivering high-quality work with precision and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain the integrity and accuracy of all accounting records using Xero.
* Complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes, including preparation of financial statements and reports.
* Prepare and present cashflow reports to the Director of Finance, CEO, and Board.
* Perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations.
* Administer ATO compliance, BAS lodgements, and superannuation reporting.
* Support budgeting, reforecasting, and financial modelling activities to drive business performance.
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including credit control and aged receivables management.
* Payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
* Provide analytical insights and financial advice to support strategic business decisions.
* Ensure compliance with corporate governance, internal policies, and statutory regulations.
* Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
* Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial consultants, and prepare supporting documentation for audits.
* Continuously enhance financial systems, reporting frameworks, and internal processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
* Develop and monitor key financial KPIs and management dashboards to support informed decision-making.
* Oversee financial aspects of projects and capital expenditures.
About You
You're an experienced financial accountant who thrives in a dynamic, values-driven environment. You love making sense of numbers, streamlining systems, and enabling better decision-making.
Ideally, you will have:
* A degree in Accounting or Finance, or CPA/CA Qualified
* 3–5 years of experience in a similar role
* Strong working knowledge of Xero
* Excellent understanding of accounting principles and compliance obligations
* Advanced level proficiency in Excel
* High-level proficiency in Excel
* Attention to detail, strong ethics, and ability to manage confidential information
* A collaborative mindset and clear communication style
* A positive, can do attitude
