Job Title: Web Developer
Job Description:
* Serve as a key member of the web team, contributing to the administration and maintenance of the AEC's websites within the IT Solutions Section.
* Collaborate with colleagues in section planning for short-term tasks and work area planning for longer-term initiatives.
* Undertake moderately complex to complex work, utilising expertise in website administration, web publishing, and front-end web development.
About Our Requirements:
* Provide administrative support for day-to-day operations of the AEC's web channels following AEC procedures, Government standards, and accessibility requirements.
* Offer technical advice and assistance to user groups, external contractors, and general employees on web-related projects.
* Manage assigned web project work and provide technical guidance in a complex IT environment.
* Liaise with stakeholders on policy, project, or operational issues and respond to stakeholder needs and expectations.
* Represent the agency at meetings, conferences, and seminars.
* Contribute to doctrine, election preparation, and delivery activities according to individual accountabilities and responsibilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Understanding of web design, development, and maintenance with the ability to apply this to the maintenance of websites and intranets.
* Knowledge of web standards and web accessibility guidelines.
* Able to provide sound and clear technical advice to stakeholders on web-related projects.
* Ability to set priorities and deliver quality results on time.
* Effective communication skills while responding to stakeholder needs and expectations across a geographically dispersed network.
* Analytical abilities with the capacity to obtain accurate conclusions and apply innovative initiatives.
* Ability to manage staff while identifying training needs and promoting professionalism.
* Demonstrated personal integrity while achieving results within legislative and policy parameters.
* Familiarity with Australian electoral law and practice, as well as Commonwealth frameworks, including ICT frameworks.
