The Project
Deep in the Snowy Mountains, the Cabramurra Township is undergoing a major electrical infrastructure transformation and you'll be the engineer leading it from Brisbane.
This isn't a desk job pushing paper. You'll be at the technical heart of a high-complexity HV/LV upgrade involving underground cabling, advanced substation technology, and critical infrastructure that regional and industrial communities depend on. You'll coordinate directly with on-site teams, drive design decisions, and see your engineering fingerprint on something genuinely significant.

What You'll Be Doing
* Specifying and procuring HV/LV substations — RMUs, transformers, switchboards, kiosk enclosures
* Designing HV and LV cable routes including conduits, pits, submains, and distribution pillars
* Leading protection grading and arc flash studies using ETAP
* Driving earthing design via SafeGrid analysis
* Coordinating civil pad design alongside electrical requirements
* Managing connection agreements and associated studies with the Service Provider
* Liaising with surveyors, contractors, and stakeholders to keep delivery on track
What We're Looking For
* Degree in Electrical Engineering (or trade-qualified with strong infrastructure project experience)
* Proven hands-on experience in HV/LV distribution, substations, and electrical infrastructure delivery
* Proficiency in ETAP, SafeGrid, and AutoCAD
* Strong grounding in protection systems, fault studies, and earthing design
* A natural collaborator — someone who can lead technical conversations and bring stakeholders with them
* PSSE/PSCAD experience is a genuine advantage
