Latitude Recruitment is honoured to partner with Omeo District Health in finding their next Director of Nursing - a leader who will champion quality care for one of Victoria's most beloved regional communities.
Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, the Director of Nursing holds organisation-wide professional leadership responsibility for nursing practice across Acute Care (inpatient and urgent care), Home-Based Services, Residential Aged Care (permanent and respite), Transitional Care (Community and Residential), Nursing Workforce, and Clinical Nurse Education.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide executive clinical governance and operational oversight across all services within scope
* Hold organisation-wide professional leadership for nursing standards, workforce capability, mandatory competencies, and scope of practice
* Lead nursing workforce strategy including recruitment, retention, succession planning, and clinical education
* Ensure compliance with aged care reform requirements including SIRS, Star Ratings, and the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
* Drive continuous quality improvement aligned with NSQHS Standards and the Victorian Clinical Governance Framework
* Accountability for financial performance including budget management, activity targets, and resource utilisation
* Contribute to organisational strategy, service reform, and accreditation readiness as a member of the Executive Leadership Team
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Current AHPRA Division 1 Registered Nurse registration
* Bachelor of Nursing with postgraduate qualifications in Critical Care, Emergency Care, Gerontological Nursing, Aged Care, or Rural and Remote Health
* Senior leadership experience across acute care, aged care, home-based services, and/or transitional care
Highly Regarded:
* Experience in rural or remote aged care settings
* Knowledge of virtual or innovative models of care
* Demonstrated expertise in dementia and delirium best practice
