Job Description
We are seeking a bright and energised Inventory Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engineering services to support the Navy's Surface Fleet.
The Inventory Officer will work closely with Defence at one of multiple locations, collaborating across defence and industry to meet objectives. Opportunities for professional growth and development are available, including access to the latest technologies and mentorship from experts in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support material management planning and scheduling including analysis and optimisation of inventory holdings and locations.
* Meet customer requirements for both internal and external stock levels and fleet management.
* Maintain export control compliance across all Material Support functions.
* Working with the Sourcing Team to ensure efficient procurement and repair of inventory to maintain established stock levels.
* Support to audit and quality assurance controls across the supply chain function to ensure compliance to policy.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Requires a Certificate IV in Logistics Supply Chain or Distribution (or equivalent experience). Minimum 3 years experience with inventory management operations is required. Experience within a Defence environment is preferred.
Computer literacy including the use of inventory management systems such as SAP Maximo EAGLE or MILIS is essential.
