The People and Culture Directorate within Northern Sydney Local Health District is seeking an experienced people leader to join our team. This role works closely with peers across the People and Culture function as well as the Ryde Hospital Executive team to deliver effective, people focused strategies and support. Where you'll be working: Ryde Hospital is undergoing a $479 million redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community. The redevelopment will include current health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and more. Construction began in early 2023 and will provide opportunities to be part of the Ryde team to shape future health services for the community.
What You'll Be Doing
The People and Culture Manager operates at a senior management level, providing leadership, strategic direction and guidance in the development, integration, review and coordination of workforce management issues. The role supports the Deputy Director HR Business Partner and key stakeholders on matters including, but not limited to: change management initiatives, reform agenda, workforce-related policies and procedures, and budget/financial performance related to workforce activities in the portfolio. Responsibilities include:
- Lead, motivate and manage a professional Workforce Services team in delivering the full range of workforce services across a multi-site, diverse organisation to achieve corporate goals.
- Integrate workforce issues into the organisation's strategic planning processes and manage change.
- Provide expert technical and specialised strategic Workforce/Employee Relations advice and consultancy in line with legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Apply well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills to enable sound decision making and the development of sound policies and strategies.
- Communicate, liaise, advise and negotiate with management, staff, industrial organisations, other industry bodies and external agencies. Demonstrate computer literacy appropriate to the role.
Well-developed knowledge in preparing matters for Tribunals dealing with employment-related issues.
