About the Role
We're seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth across Queensland, with a focus on Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and Southeast QLD.
Based in either Brisbane or the Gold Coast and reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role suits a confident self-starter who thrives on building strong broker relationships, driving sales activity, and delivering exceptional service.
You'll represent the Alex Bank brand throughout Southeast Queensland — strengthening existing partnerships, onboarding new brokers, and collaborating closely with our internal sales and operations teams to provide a seamless experience from first engagement through to settlement.

What You'll Do
• Drive and grow sales across our secured car loan and personal lending broker network in QLD.
• Build, nurture, and expand relationships with brokers, aggregators, and affiliate partners.
• Represent Alex Bank through in-person broker visits, training sessions, webinars, workshops, and industry events across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
• Educate and support brokers on our products, systems, and lending policies to increase conversions and pipeline performance.
• Develop and execute a territory sales plan aligned with national distribution and growth strategies.
• Partner with internal BDMs and sales support teams to deliver an exceptional broker and customer experience.
• Identify opportunities, performance gaps, and challenges across the region to drive continual improvement and channel success.

What You'll Bring
• 5+ years' experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within financial services.
• A strong network of brokers and aggregator relationships across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and broader QLD (asset finance or personal lending experience highly regarded).
• Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Highly proactive, self-driven approach and ability to work autonomously across a geographically diverse territory.
• Passion for helping brokers deliver better outcomes for customers and building long-term partnerships.
• Solid understanding of lending fundamentals and credit processes.
