Overview of our role
We're delighted to invite expressions of interest for a Senior Finance Analyst – Gas Markets, a 14‐month fixed‐term opportunity covering parental leave. This role offers the chance to step into a supportive, collaborative environment where your expertise will truly make a difference.
In this role, you'll provide end‐to‐end financial support for the JGMSA contract, partnering closely with our colleagues at Zinfra and Jemena. Your days will be rich and varied, spanning forecasting, budgeting, and reporting, while contributing thoughtful insights that support cost control and strategic decision‐making.
You'll play an important part in shaping strong financial outcomes by enhancing finance processes and systems, uplifting financial confidence and capability across teams, and supporting robust governance for large‐scale projects. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for continuous improvement, you'll also contribute to ongoing commercial optimisation and help teams make well‐informed, confident decisions.

A little about you
* Demonstrated experience in business partnership roles, working closely with teams of operational stakeholders (engineers, project managers, non-finance professionals)
* Demonstrated experience from infrastructure / facility / construction environments (preferred)
* At least 5 years of post‐qualification experience in cost control, financial analysis, or project management
* Strong financial and analytical skills with a focus on cost drivers and forecasting
* Effective communicator and trusted business partner across operational teams
* Proactive mindset with a drive for process improvement and cost optimisationAccountable, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast‐paced environment
Qualifications / certifications & Skills
* Post Graduate qualification (CA / CPA)
* Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling skills are essential (Macro not required)
* Strong understanding and practical experience of SAP & data structures (incl. FI/CO/CATS/ PS)
* Knowledge of project management methodologies (eg. Earned value management) and tools (eg. MS Project)
* Knowledge of project management reporting tools
* Certification in Project management or Cost Control is an advantage
