Position Summary:
As a Production Operator/forklift operator, your primary role is to safely and efficiently carry out day-to-day tasks to produce steel-reinforced concrete pipes.
Authority:
Stop production if safety or quality concerns arise and inform your Supervisor.
Report equipment issues to maintenance and your Supervisor.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Conduct daily pre-start checks on equipment.
Prepare equipment such as ladders, stencils, paint, trowels, etc., for the day's production.
Move pipes, reinforcement cages, and other materials (requires a forklift license).
Open moulds, remove finished pipes, and prepare moulds for the next production cycle.
Monitor pipe quality and address any issues.
Apply appropriate labels and conduct finishing tasks like patching and cleaning pipes.
Ensure all equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
Maintain cleanliness in production areas.
Assist with maintenance tasks as required.
Report any defects and communicate effectively with your team.
Be willing to work outside normal hours when necessary, including weekends and holidays.
Skills and Experience:
Experience in concrete pipe production, steel cages, or related manufacturing, civil, or building industries.
Strong safety focus and attention to housekeeping.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
Reliable attendance.
Willingness to obtain relevant certifications (company-paid courses).
Qualifications:
Driver's license.
Forklift license
Own vehicle (preferred).
EWP (advantageous but not essential)
Confined Space (advantageous but not essential)
