Oncology Registered Nurse - Community-Based Care Location: Various locations across Adelaide South Australia Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time opportunities available Industry: Healthcare & Medical - Nursing - Community, Oncology Right to work in Australia Are you an experienced and compassionate Oncology Registered Nurse looking to make a real difference in patients' lives? Join our dedicated team delivering high-quality cancer care in the community, supporting patients in the comfort of their own homes. About the Role As a Community-Based Oncology Registered Nurse, you will provide specialised nursing care to oncology and haematology patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and infusion therapies for chronic conditions. Your role will involve autonomous practice, ensuring patient safety and wellbeing, while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Key Responsibilities Deliver chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion therapies in home settings Perform comprehensive assessments, clinical monitoring, and ongoing care planning Provide support, education, and advocacy to patients and their families Manage Central Venous Access Devices (CVADs) and perform IV cannulations Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation Collaborate with treating oncologists, GPs, and allied health professionals Essential Skills & Experience Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse Minimum 5 years post-registration nursing experience At least 2-3 years of experience in haematology, plasma, infusion, or transfusion Proven clinical expertise in oncology nursing practices and procedures Competency in IV cannulation and CVAD management Strong communication skills-both verbal and written Excellent organisational and time management abilities High level of technical proficiency, including EMR systems and computer literacy Ability to work independently in the community and contribute as part of a multidisciplinary team Skilled in conflict resolution and problem-solving in clinical settings Understanding of the physical, emotional, and social impacts of cancer and chronic illness Requirements Current Australian "C class" Driver's License Reliable vehicle suitable for community visits National Police Clearance Certificate Willingness to travel across the service area Why Join Us?
