Underground Leading Hand Diesel Fitter | FIFO WA | 2:2 Roster | $83+/hr
Step into a leadership role on an underground gold project in WA's Pilbara region that is restarting operations after a period of care and maintenance.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced underground fitter to lead a small maintenance crew, working closely with the team to safely bring the operation back online. You'll be working across a diverse underground fleet including Sandvik, Epiroc, Normet and Elphinstone equipment, offering strong variety and technical exposure.
With a 2:2 FIFO roster, excellent camp facilities and a tight-knit workforce, this role offers both lifestyle balance and long-term opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor and support underground maintenance crews on shift
* Coordinate planned maintenance, servicing and breakdown response
* Ensure maintenance and reliability targets are achieved within set timeframes
* Drive strong safety standards, compliance and quality workmanship
* Coordinate workshop and field activities to keep equipment running efficiently
What We're Looking For
* Cert III Heavy Diesel Fitter / Diesel Mechanic trade qualification
* Extensive experience maintaining underground mining machinery
* Previous mine-site leadership or Leading Hand experience
* Strong understanding of safety, reliability and preventative maintenance
* Ability to lead by example and build a strong team culture
* Current Australian Driver's Licence
