Griffith High School -, is a secondary school situated in Griffith, with an enrolment of 600 students. The enrolment profile includes 138 students with an Aboriginal Heritage, 153 with a Pasifika background, and a significant number of students from EAL/D backgrounds. Griffith High School, includes a support unit with 5 classes, the Riverina Suspension Centre - Griffith, and a Clontarf Academy to support the educational provision for Aboriginal boys and an Aboriginal Learning and Engagement Centre that fosters improved learning outcomes. Students at the school benefit from the multi-award winning Murrumbidgee Academy of STEM Excellence (MASE) Academy that provides education to students in partner primary schools and secondary schools right across NSW

Selection Criteria
* Approval to Teach 7-10 Science and willingness to teach stage 6 Chemistry or Physics with the ability to design and implement quality teaching and learning programs and assessment.
* Proven ability to use effective classroom management skills and wellbeing practices to create a classroom environment that is engaging, inclusive and fosters a culture of high expectations.
* Demonstrated ability to differentiate the curriculum to meet the individual learning needs of a diverse range of students and focus on student growth.
* Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships to engage students, staff and parents.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
