Someone with experience in assessing and evaluating government operations, programs and policies. You will be committed to contributing to our vision ofbetter public services, and our mission of independent and valued assurance and insights.
You will bring a strong understanding of government and public sector operations, and a passion for better public services. You will be a strategic thinker who enjoys problem solving, with advanced client relationship skills and an ability to influence our clients to make real change.Having a strong understanding of Queensland Government frameworks and policies (preferably in areas such as project management, procurement, asset management) would be desirable.
You will play a key role within the performance audit team and across QAO, with responsibilities including:
leading and managing teams in the delivery of a diverse range of performance audits over the Queensland Public Sector
building and maintaining effective stakeholder and client relationships at a senior level and delivering professional presentations
providing expert advice to internal stakeholders, including Directors and Assistant Auditors-General
contributing to a range of other deliverables ad initiatives across the QAO, such as the forward work plan
building capability and mentor staff across the QAO to support a high performing workforce and a strong culture

Our Performance Audit function
Within the QAO, our Performance Audit team assesses how efficiently, effectively and economically the government implements its policies and programs. We work across a broad range of sectors and topics, providing the Queensland Parliament and the community with independent assurance over the performance of the government. salary commensurate with experience – $166,000 to $175,800(includes 12.75% superannuation and 17.5% annual leave loading)
