**Job Title:** Patient Enquiries Officer
The Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District is seeking a part-time Receptionist to join the Patient Enquiry team at Nepean Hospital. In this frontline role, you will provide face-to-face assistance to patients and visitors, offering clear information about departments and patient whereabouts.
You will also manage enquiry phone calls with professionalism and care. The Patient Enquiry service plays a vital role in supporting hospital operations, including parking validations and passes, booking couriers, dispensing taxi vouchers, and assisting Official Visitors.
As a Receptionist, you will be an essential point of contact, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for all who engage with the service.
**Key Responsibilities:
* Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors
* Manage enquiry phone calls with professionalism and care
* Assist with patient whereabouts and departmental information
* Support hospital operations, including parking validations and passes, booking couriers, and dispensing taxi vouchers
* Assist Official Visitors
**Requirements:
* Extensive and varied clerical experience, including reception experience
* Demonstrated effective customer service experience
* Demonstrated excellent oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated excellent organisational and time management skills
* Demonstrated experience using Windows-based software, including databases and MS Word and Excel
* Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
* Ability and commitment to be flexible and adaptable to change
