The Role
Manage the full payroll cycle, from input and checks through to final reconciliation.
Review and verify time and attendance data, leave balances, allowances, and deductions to ensure accuracy.
Investigate and help resolve payroll issues, offering support on more complex payroll queries when needed.
Handle all payroll information with a high level of confidentiality and care.
Ensure payroll processes align with current legislation, taxation rules, and superannuation requirements.
Assist with statutory obligations such as Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting and payroll tax submissions.
Provide accurate records and support during internal and external audit processes.
Monitor legislative updates and incorporate changes into payroll practices and procedures.
The Candidate
Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll processing within a medium to large organization.
Experience with payroll systems such as SAP ECP and UKG preferred.
Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
Certified Payroll Professional designation desirable.
