Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our catering team on a full-time permanent basis.

Responsibilities
* Permanent - Full Time, 38 hours per week position – shifts are Wednesday - Sunday.
* Located in East Maitland NSW at our beautifully redeveloped Green Hills Residential Care Service

Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll support the delivery of high-quality meals, kitchen operations, and food safety standards, while helping lead a supportive and high-performing kitchen team.
Key Contributions
* Support the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations in a busy aged care environment
* Prepare and deliver nutritious, high-quality meals for residents, including special dietary requirements
* Ensure compliance with Food Safety Standards, HACCP, and hygiene regulations
* Assist with menu implementation, meal service, and portion control
* Manage stock control, ordering, and stock rotation (FIFO)
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe commercial kitchen
The Essentials
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
* Food Safety knowledge and compliance capability
* National Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen compliance requirements
* Experience in aged care, healthcare, or high-volume catering (highly desirable)
* Strong organisation, time management, and communication skills
* Passion for delivering excellent food and service
