Contract Professional
The primary focus of this role is managing the entire lifecycle of contracts for both major and minor construction projects, as well as equipment procurement. Effective collaboration with project management stakeholders will be essential to ensure that contractual outcomes are commercially viable and compliant with governance requirements.
This position may also involve supporting the establishment of panel agreements or preferred supplier arrangements across various goods and services categories.
* Develop and execute contracts for project-based works and equipment procurements.
* Partner with stakeholders to create evaluation plans, tender documentation, and bid strategies.
* Manage the bidding process, including bidder briefings, clarification management, and document handling.
* Facilitate evaluation processes, including compliance checks and commercial assessments.
* Support negotiations in commercial, legal, and technical areas.
* Oversee contract drafting, approvals, and final award processes.
* Ensure adherence to internal policies and frameworks, including Local Buying and Aboriginal Participation strategies.
Key Requirements:
* Prior experience in establishing project-based works contracts.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and vendor relationship management capabilities.
* High attention to detail in reviewing and preparing complex documentation.
* Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Supply Chain, Law, Engineering, or a related field.
* A solid understanding of Commercial and Contract Law.
* Familiarity with WA Public Sector procurement policies and practices is highly desirable.
