Job Description

PSCA, Level 4 or 5, Salary: $95,782 - $100,526 p.a. (Level 4 or 5) or $105,167 - $114,938 p.a. (Level 5). Location: Narrogin, Western Australia.

Responsible for promoting biodiversity, conserving ecosystems, and managing wildlife protection across the Narrogin region, near the Dryandra Woodland. The role is permanent, full‐time, and reports to the Regional Manager.

Responsibilities

* Deliver parks and conservation compliance services in the region, lead investigations, conduct nature protection issue and license assessments, and advise on nature protection matters. Report sightings of new introduced alien species and assist with capture/eradication where possible.
* Maintain close technical working relationships within regional compliance programs to integrate wildlife protection and compliance services across the region.

Selection Criteria

* Considerable experience (Level 5) or experience (Level 4) in conducting criminal investigations and preparing full briefs of evidence for prosecutions.
* Sound knowledge (Level 5) or knowledge (Level 4) of legislation, policies and guidelines relating to biodiversity and nature protection; experience with CALM Act lands and wildlife protection management.
* Working knowledge (Level 5) or knowledge (Level 4) of industries regulated under biodiversity and nature protection; ability to identify flora, fauna, exotic animals, and manage human interactions with wildlife.
* Proven leadership (Level 5) or leadership (Level 4) with coordination, project management and organisational skills, including meeting deadlines, working under pressure and achieving results.
