About the RoleWe are seeking a highly capable and hands-on Site Manager to lead our Woodburn operations. This is a senior role responsible for end-to-end site operations, process & plant optimisation, maintenance and compliance within a specialised processing facility.This position requires strong technical capability across production, water processing systems and automated plant operations. The successful applicant will play a key role in maintaining and improving our HACCP/GMP-certified facility, driving operational performance, and supporting the company’s next phase of growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day site operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and KPIs are achieved.Oversee and continuously improve processing systems, including dewatering, drying, and wastewater management.Uphold quality systems to ensure ongoing compliance and audit readiness.Manage plant performance, including troubleshooting, process optimisation, and efficiency improvements.Coordinate maintenance of plant and equipment, working closely with contractors and technical specialists.Manage procurement, inventory, and production scheduling to align with operational requirements.Lead, train, and develop a small production team, fostering a strong safety and performance culture.Ensure accurate production, cleaning, and quality records are maintained end-to-end.Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations, cost control, and output quality.Maintain a safe working environment and ensure full WHS/OHS compliance.
About YouBackground in managing production or engineer with chemical/processing experience. Ideally have experience in wastewater treatment, process operations, or industrial processing environments.Comfortable operating within HACCP, GMP, or other regulated production systems.Proven ability to manage and improve technically advanced plant and equipment.Hands-on, practical mindset with the ability to “get on the tools” when required.Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing small teams.Ability to work autonomously, make decisions, and take ownership of site performance.Commercial awareness, including cost control and operational efficiency.Experience with microalgae is not expected. Candidates from food processing, water treatment, aquaculture, or similar industries are encouraged to apply.
