Financial Controller
A well-established and growing construction group on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a commercially minded Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function and partner directly with leadership.
This is not a back-office reporting role. This is a seat at the table.
You'll work closely with Directors to drive financial strategy, oversee project reporting, manage cashflow, and build robust systems that support continued growth.
The Role
* Lead and manage the end-to-end finance function
* Oversee project costing, WIP reporting and margin analysis
* Manage cashflow, forecasting and feasibility modelling
* Deliver accurate monthly reporting and board-level insights
* Partner with operational teams to drive commercial performance
* Oversee payroll, AP/AR and external accountants
* Implement and improve systems, processes and controls
About You
* CA/CPA qualified (or near completion)
* 5+ years' experience within construction, property or project-based environments
* Strong understanding of WIP, progress claims and project accounting
* Commercially minded – able to see beyond the numbers
* Confident working directly with Directors and senior stakeholders
* Process-driven with a continuous improvement mindset
