Key Responsibilities
* Analyze product requirements and select hardware components based on those requirements.
* Create test plans and test reports for various hardware components.
* Test hardware components before handing off to software development and QA teams.
* Work with vendors to select next-generation hardware.
* Manage end-of-life hardware with vendors and the supply chain.
* Take products through FCC and safety regulatory testing.
* Generate engineering change orders, modifications, and developments.
* Update bill of materials per new commodity code structure in collaboration with the configuration management team.
* Work with support to troubleshoot hardware issues and configure systems to recreate customer issues.
* Troubleshoot hardware issues found in the QA lab.
* Create documentation for internal use, including hardware maintenance operation procedures.
* Collaborate with technical publications on customer documentation.
* Set up test environments at contract manufacturers and guide them through the testing process.
* Use an oscilloscope to test and troubleshoot new products and hardware issues.
* Visit vendor sites to review new hardware designs or troubleshoot issues.
* Use schematic capture and layout tools to maintain designs developed in-house.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $89,850 - $112,320 plus bonus and benefits.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
* Extensive knowledge of Agile Product Lifecycle Management, including BOM creation and ECO processes.
* Strong electrical design, hardware design, and test verification experience.
* Regulatory testing experience, including SEC testing and safety certification testing.
* Excellent documentation skills, including writing test reports, test plans, and specifications.
* Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
