About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional to take a step into a leadership role within a national construction company that has just upgraded a version of their payroll system. Along with assisting the everyday payroll processing, this role will be heavily based around mentoring/developing the rest of the payroll team, and understanding across multiple EBA's/Awards. This is a high volume payroll environment.
Reporting into the Head of Finance, key responsibilities include
* End-to-end payroll processing for a 200+ employees.
* Payroll reconciliations, adjustments, and third‐party payments (PAYG, super, garnishees).
* Providing leave cover for payroll processing (fortnightly).
* Managing new starters, terminations, and employee changes.
* Interpreting EBAs, awards, and company pay policies.
* Preparing payroll reports and ensuring compliance with legislation.
* Supporting EOM, EOY reporting, and payroll audits.
* Resolving employee queries and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
The successful applicant will have
* Strong ADP Payforce systems knowledge.
* Expertise in end‐to‐end payroll, STP, taxation, and superannuation compliance.
* Excellent excel skills and experience interpreting EBAs/Awards.
* Excellent attention to detail, problem‐solving, and stakeholder management skills.
