Additional Information:
- These roles are Permanent Part-time 40-60hrs/fortnight
- The internal job title for this role is Customer Co-worker
- The shift times required to work will be spread between 9:30am to 10:00pm
- As our unit operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday)
RECRUITMENT PROCESS AND KEY DATES

- If you are successful for this role, you will be required to attend a 2-day Welcome induction on Monday 3 March & Tuesday 4 March 2025, 9am-5pm.
About this work area
As Customer Service Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Acting as the friendly face of IKEA within our Customer Service area, you handle queries and look for the appropriate solution tailored to the customer.
2. Processing returns and resolving customer issues, recognising when to escalate to someone with higher authorisation.
3. Manage cash, card, and finance option payment transactions with accuracy and friendly demeanour.
4. Recording information accurately in our customer database system so we can act on feedback and continuously make improvements to the customer shopping experience.
5. Ensuring customers have a positive final touchpoint during the IKEA shopping journey.
6. Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

As a Customer Co-worker you are or have:
1. A customer-centric mindset and are able to handle information and data confidentially.
2. Able to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced and changing environment.
3. An energetic approach for self-development, you are eager to learn new skills and like to work with digital programs.
4. Passionate about securing a positive and seamless customer experience through utilising your strong customer service skills by interacting with and helping customers consistently.

6. Excellent communication skills where you can build emotional connections through meaningful and empathetic interactions with customers.
7. Able to work closely with your team and other departments or work independently.
8. Previous experience in a similar customer service role or retail environments is preferred.
