Our Operating Theatre has an opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse - Scrub /Scout in Neurosurgery to join our Perioperative team.
This position involves:
Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with patients, staff and VMOs from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Provide exceptional customer service and person‐centred and evidence‐based care.
Provide supervision and preceptorship to Enrolled Nurses, graduates and students.
Working as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team, managing own work time and personal well‐being.
Lead successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes.
Involved in clinical and compliance auditing.
Taking the lead nursing role in the operating theatre to ensure consistent service delivery and managing departmental/specialty resources.
About You
You will hold a minimum of 5 years' full‐time Neurosurgery scrub scout experience. You will enjoy working in a fast‐paced environment and have a thorough understanding of patient care in a perioperative setting.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Have AHPRA registration (essential)
* Previous experience with Neurosurgery (5 years minimum essential)
* Demonstrate exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients within the perioperative setting
* Be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
* Implement strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated into daily activities
* Ensure effective allocation of theatre resources to avoid disruption to service
