About the Role
The West Region Delivery Team (WRDT) is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of mechanical works across the project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare methodologies, schedules, cost estimates, plans and drawings.
* Review designs and identify areas for improvement in construction methodologies.
* Interpret and apply Sydney Water Technical Specifications to all works.
* Manage project labour, subcontractors, materials and equipment.
* Conduct safety and quality inspections, ensuring compliance with standards.
* Lead and document progress meetings.
* Resolve design non-compliances by developing alternative solutions, supported by engineering calculations and validation testing.
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, vendors and contractors.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* A Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (or closely related field).
* Solid experience working in construction with experience working in the water industry.
* Excellent problem-solving ability, with advanced mathematical and technical skills.
* Effective communicator and collaborative team player, self-motivated with a strong safety focus.
* Mechanically minded, with proven ability to manage design, delivery and compliance.
* Experience in CAD/Bluebeam advantageous.
