Your Impact
As the Food & Beverage Duty Manager, you will play a key leadership role in the daily operations of the iconic Cascade Brewery Bar. Acting as the Venue Manager's on-site representative during service, you will lead the front-of-house team, ensure smooth day-to-day operations, and deliver an exceptional hospitality experience for visitors from across Australia and around the world.
Set within the grounds of Australia's oldest operating brewery, this role offers the opportunity to combine great service, premium food and beverages, and an unforgettable guest experience in a truly unique Tasmanian setting.
Key Accountabilities
* Oversee day-to-day food and beverage operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service
* Manage opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and daily reconciliations
* Supervise bar and floor staff to deliver consistent, high-quality service
* Lead, coach and motivate the front-of-house team during service periods
* Monitor stock levels, coordinate ordering, and manage inventory and wastage
* Ensure compliance with RSA, workplace safety, and food hygiene standards
* Respond to guest feedback and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
* Maintain strong knowledge of Cascade products, menu offerings, and local produce
* Assist with rostering, reporting, and general venue administration
* Support training and onboarding of new team members
About You
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or duty manager role within hospitality
* Current RSA certification
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to manage high-volume service environments
* Experience using POS and stock management systems
* Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
* Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving ability
* Professional presentation with strong attention to detail
* Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and public holidays
