Structured learning and development at all career levels.About This RoleBased in our modern Adelaide Office we are looking for a Senior Manager to join our established Audit Team.
Our audit process is more than a compliance measure.
Our robust, independent audits deliver actionable insights and add substantial value for our clients.
We are fiercely independent.
We work with ASX-listed companies, privately owned businesses and Not for Profits and take the time to understand the organisation, including its profit drivers and key risks.You will use Grant Thornton's proprietary global audit methodology, the latest technology to drive an efficient and effective audit process to gain a wide range of assurance exposure.
You will bring your experience, knowledge and capacity to mentor and coach and to drive an efficient and effective audit process with a focus on mid-size clients.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablishing audit objectives and managing a team of auditors to complete an effective audit processIdentifying and reporting on client financial risks with regard to external financial reporting requirementsExecuting and delivering on a variety of external audit client engagements in an effective and methodical mannerPreparing high-quality audit reports and related documentationManaging and mentoring team members on each project engagement team to continually develop the team's skills and experienceBuilding successful client relationships with a positive "can do" attitude to challenges and the agility to multitask effectively across competing prioritiesResearching difficult audit technical issues and being a trusted advisor to our clientsWorking closely with internal teams, as well as clients to identify business development opportunities that will add value to our client's businessSkills & ExperiencePrevious audit experience in a mid-tier or Big 4 professional services firmMust be CA qualified or hold similar relevant overseas qualificationStrong communication and consultation skills enabling you to deal directly and effectively with company owners/ CEOs and CFOs and other stakeholdersStrong project management skills - ability to manage competing priorities at the one time and deliver engagements in a timely mannerProblem solving and analytical skills to provide effective solutions for our clients and prevent riskCollaborative and consultative approach to working with diverse internal stakeholders from Associates up to PartnersExcellent business development skills enabling you to build strong relationships and identify opportunities in our client's businessSound knowledge of IFRS, Australian Auditing Standards, ASX Listing Rules and Corporation Act requirements would be advantageousIf you're interested in this role but don't feel that you match every single one of our requirements, we would still love to hear from you and explore the unique skillset and attributes that you can bring to the team.Reach your remarkableAt Grant Thornton we do things differently because we understand that when you strive for better and care about what you do remarkable things are possible.
