Our next generation robotic orthopaedic platform, HAiLOTM, replaces the bone saw with a laser for precise sub-millimetre bone shaping. About you
* Degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
* 2+ years' solving complex challenges in innovative projects.
* Excited to join our innovative friendly team with a genuine interest in building the next generation of surgical devices.
* Desire to tackle complex, open problems and a commitment to continual learning.
* Willingness to contribute across teams whether it is lasers, medical, robotics or other areas as needed.
* Have a willingness to work in a laboratory with biological tissue, and able to have any required vaccinations (required for access to PC2 laboratory facilities).
* Able to work and communicate in a small highly productive multidisciplinary team.
* Experience developing low voltage power and control systems, ideally for product development.
* Experience with EMC testing and/or standards compliance.
* 3D CAD experience to integrate electrical designs for mechanical integration.
* Knowledge of robotics, control systems, electronics, simulation and automation, CAD design, rapid prototyping (3D printing) and fabrication.
* Able to produce high quality technical documentation with an attention to detail.
* Prior medical knowledge isn't a requirement, but exposure to medical device development or safety critical environments will be highly regarded.
