Quality Assurance Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure compliance with regional and national regulations, industry standards, and project specifications on our renewable energy projects.
* Duties:
o Ensure all construction and installation activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and project specifications, enforcing quality management systems.
o Manage, oversee, and conduct inspections and tests, including material inspections, earthworks and civil testing, Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), Site Acceptance Tests (SATs), commissioning activities, and third-party validations.
o Identify, document, and manage non-conformances, conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective and preventive actions, track closeouts, and communicate lessons learned to drive continual improvements.
o Coordinate and collaborate with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, facilitating quality meetings to ensure adherence to project requirements and best practices.
o Conduct internal project-wide quality audits, address findings, and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance future project performance.
* Qualifications and Experience:
o Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, (ISO 9001 Quality Management certification highly desirable)
o At least 2 years of experience in QA or QC within construction, renewable energy, or related sectors, ideally with exposure to large-scale infrastructure projects—experience with renewable energy systems is strongly preferred, or alternatively, a solid background in electrical systems and installations.
o Strong understanding of Queensland Regional HSEQ requirements, as well as industry standards and regulations related to environmental, health, and safety in the construction sector.
o Experience with quality inspections, material testing, NC reporting, RCA investigations, and familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, Procore, HammerTech, or similar tools.
o Proven ability to conduct audits (project and management system), manage non-conformance closeouts, and implement corrective actions to drive quality excellence.
