As a Tour Guide at Crocodylus Park, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional levels of animal husbandry while maintaining high welfare standards.The RoleWe are recruiting for a casual Tour Guide / Crocodile Keeper that can:Lead informative and exciting tours for visitors of all agesEducate guests about crocodiles, their habitats, and conservationParticipate in the daily care and feeding of crocodilesAssist with habitat maintenance and safety checksSupport special events, educational programs, and VIP experiencesWork closely with a team of experienced handlers and guidesFollow section husbandry routines to deliver a high level of animal care to all species including, but not limited to, enclosure servicing, diet provision, providing daily enrichment opportunities, positive reinforcement trainingConduct continuous observations on all animals during the working dayEnsure standard operating procedures, risk assessments and policies are adhered to at all times to ensure protected working practicesRecord all elements of animal care as daily diary reportsSupport all members of staff and, if directed, facilitate the work of other departmentsAbout YouA detailed understanding of animal husbandryPhysically fit to work in an outdoor environmentPublic speaking and customer service skillsExcellent record keeping and observational skillsBe able to work unsupervised with initiativeProblem solving attitudeManual driver's licenceAvailable to work weekends and public holidaysPositive working attitudewww.crocodyluspark.com.auA Cover Letter and CV must be provided.
