What's the job? Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the hotel’s repair and maintenance function. This key operational role works closely with the Chief Engineer, General Manager and Hotel Management Team to deliver effective maintenance, risk management, safety and compliance practices that support the smooth and reliable operation of the property. Assist the Chief Engineer with managing maintenance budgeting, cost control and support capital project delivery. Oversee contractor performance to ensure all works meet contractual, quality and compliance standards. Monitor energy usage, support sustainability initiatives and contribute to operational efficiency. Lead, develop and performance-manage the maintenance team to ensure efficient resolution of any maintenance issues. Oversee preventative maintenance programs and conduct regular inspections to uphold asset standards. Ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues and support a high standard of guest service. Maintain full compliance with WHS, fire safety and all statutory requirements. Promote a strong safety culture, proactively report hazards and support environmental initiatives.
