Role Overview
Management Accountant to complement our Western Region Infrastructure Services Team, based in Hazelmere. Reporting to the Finance Lead, responsible for day‐to‐day accounting and reporting, providing advice, insight, and analysis to operational and management teams.
Responsibilities
* Month‐end and year‐end reporting, including processing journal entries, joint venture entries, and preparing profit and loss.
* Assist project teams with financial reporting activities.
* Lead the region's Fringe Benefits Tax return preparation.
* Assist the Regional Finance Manager with reporting on regional financial performance against KPIs.
* Provide coaching and training to team members, engineers, and managers.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies, statutory and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Success in this role requires strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a commercial awareness that balances strategic and operational activities.
* Intermediate experience in an accountancy role, preferably within construction, infrastructure, engineering, or professional services.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, including advanced Excel.
* Strong stakeholder focus and professional communication at all levels.
* Excellent time‐management skills, prioritisation, and attention to detail.
* Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or finance.
* CA/CPA qualification highly regarded.
