About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Contracts and Procurement Manager, based in Albany or Perth, to support our gold exploration activities in the Tumbarumba region of New South Wales.
The Contracts and Procurement Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of procurement and contract administration to support exploration activities. This role ensures the timely and cost‑effective acquisition of goods, services, and equipment while maintaining compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. If the successful candidate is Perth‑based, the position will likely be home‑based, with regular travel to our Albany office for approximately one week each month, and all travel expenses covered by the company.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement contract and procurement strategies aligned with exploration project timelines and budgets.
* Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and contractors to secure optimal terms.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with relevant mining regulations, environmental standards, permits and company policies.
* Maintain procurement transaction in Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Law, Engineering, or related field.
* Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement and contract management, preferably in mining, oil & gas or heavy industry.
* Strong knowledge of contract law, procurement best practices and supplier management.
* Experience working in remote or exploration environments is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (Dynamics 365 Business Central desirable).
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
