Role Responsibilities

The Operator will work shift work as required to achieve effective monitoring of generating plant and associated equipment

across the differing technologies.

Key accountabilities include:

1. Carry out all duties in accordance with Territory Generation's safety, environmental and quality policies, safety

principles, corporate values and strategies. Modelling Territory Generation's values in order to drive a constructive

culture.

1. Work with the Remote Operations Centre (ROC) in Berrimah to achieve safe and efficient operations of the power

station. Operate part (or all) of the power station in local mode when directed by the ROC.

1. In conjunction with the Ron Goodin Station Manager, coordinate the Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) systems and

processes to deliver safe access to plant for planned and unplanned maintenance.

1. Conduct operations routines and work on the power station, including (but not limited to) routine plant inspections

including gas turbines, reciprocating engines and associated plant, including water treatment plant, equipment

lubrication, routine tests, identification of plant defects through the business ERP (Pronto).

1. Track all of your work hours through associated work orders in the business ERP (Pronto).
2. Participate in 24/7 shift roster
3. Direct, undertake or supervise work as necessary to maintain the safety of personnel on the site and to ensure the safe,

reliable and efficient operation of the power station plant.

Selection Criteria

Essential

1. Demonstrated competence in the area of work place safety and commitment to safe work practices.

2. AQF Level III Certificate or relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

3. Demonstrated understanding and proven experience in contributing to the achievement of a constructive culture.

4. Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills which have resulted in effective team membership and

contribution to work place objectives.

5. Proven ability to analyse technical systems and assess /report anomalies.

6. Well-developed computer literacy.

1. Experience with continuous shift work.

Desirable
•
2. Experience in the operation of gas turbines, dual fuel and spark fired reciprocating engines and exposure to defect

reporting ensuring that information and accuracy of defect is of a high standard.

2. Trade related experience within the power supply industry.

3. Experience within a Permit to Work system that ensures safety access to plant.

4. AQF Level III Certificate in a Mechanical/Electrical Trade within a relevant industrial environment.

FURTHER INFORMATION

Remuneration: $120,732 - $143,797 (including salary $107,796 - $128,390) In addition to standard pay and conditions, staff

working as operators may be eligible for other allowances with a total remuneration package from $184,538 - $241,900,

plus opportunity for pay progression, bonuses and training. Relocation and retention allowance may also be available for the

right candidate.

The successful applicant will be required to provide a national police check. A criminal history will not exclude an

applicant from this position unless it is a relevant criminal history. The preferred candidate is required to undertake a pre-

employment medical, and employment is conditional on the outcome.
