Jacobs Energy & Power Advisory business is seeking a dynamic Senior Associate Energy Markets professional to join our team at the forefront of innovation.
You'll play a pivotal role in developing and executing growth strategies that expand our Energy & Power Advisory offerings across the APAC region.
This exciting position offers the opportunity to:Manage the development and execution of commercial business proposals focused on the energy transition across APAC.Identify, secure, and deliver strategic advisory projects.Collaborate with our team of engineers, economists, and data analysts to solve techno-economic challenges in the future power sector.Conduct technical and market due diligence assignments, bridging our world-class technical teams with economic modeling experts.Undertake policy studies and apply economic theory to energy markets.Here's what you'll needA relevant tertiary degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with supplementary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, or Law highly regarded.Previous consulting experience.Deep understanding of power plant technologies (wind, solar, battery, gas turbine), including performance parameters and cost structures.Knowledge of related industries and technologies such as natural gas, liquid/low carbon fuels, and electricity transmission (advantageous).Expertise in conducting techno-economic advisory assignments focused on energy transition challenges.Experience in technical project development in the energy sector with economic evaluation skills.Proficiency in technical due diligence supporting capital transactions or refinancing, particularly reviewing technical capex/opex data for financial modelling.Ability to frame complex technical problems and articulate approaches to develop techno-commercial solutions.Jacobs.
