About the Role
This role processes all funder transactions and payments as contractually agreed including but not limited to processing relevant GL updates and funder & GL reconciliations. It also manages the maintenance of COF and Int Rates.
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Process finance rentals, terminations and final settlements (RV or Balloon payment) transactions to the various financiers within the lease portfolio.
* Processing other 3rd party payments.
* Daily New Business Applications review, corrections and communication to the relevant financiers.
* Processing Urgent Funding requests.
* Analyse and investigate discrepancies between SG Fleet systems and financier systems, including arrears investigation as well as identify and resolve in live system data errors related to the Financial make up of a lease including Financier Issue Management online system.
* Update financiers on lease changes, including restructures and extensions.
* Liaise with relevant internal parties and financier contacts to resolve errors or complete transactions as required.
* Reconcile suspense GL accounts as appropriate.
* Prepare month end BS reconciliation reports.
* Assist with specific projects work, tasks, staff training when required as well as process improvements related to funded lease transaction accuracy and reconciliation.
Skills and Experience
* Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or equivalent.
* Previous Reconciliations or General Ledger Experience.
* Ability to solve problem and follow through to complete resolution.
* Intermediate / Advance Excel skills a must. Together with experience in working with spreadsheets and providing analysis on trends and movements.
* Ability to work with multiple systems.
* Proven customer service and communication skills.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills with an ability to prioritise.
* Strong technical/numerical skills and knowledge.
* Experienced in Financial/Management Accounting, part-CPA/CA.
* Experience with leasing products or Banking Industry.
* Analytical skills on financial or management reports.
* Desire for continuous process improvements to gain better efficiency.
* Miles system experience is ideal.
