Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Developer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, customization, enhancement, and support of our PeopleSoft Campus Solutions environment. You will work closely with functional analysts, business users, and other technical staff to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the evolving needs of our student administration, admissions, financial aid, and academic advising offices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, Develop, and Test: Customize, configure, and develop new features and functionality within the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions module (9.2 or higher) using PeopleTools (Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode, SQR, Component Interfaces, etc.).
* Integration & Interfaces: Develop and maintain integrations between PeopleSoft and other internal/external systems using REST/SOAP web services, Integration Broker, and other middleware tools.
* Reporting: Create and modify complex reports using PS Query, SQR, XML Publisher, and BI Publisher to meet business requirements.
* Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert-level support for production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
* Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical design documents, unit test plans, and system documentation.
* Collaboration: Work closely with functional analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications and viable solutions.
* Upgrades & PUM Updates: Assist in the application of PUM images, tax updates, and other patches. Participate in the research, testing, and implementation of new features and fixes.
* Best Practices: Adhere to software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and organizational standards for coding, security, and performance.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
* 3+ years of hands-on experience in PeopleSoft development with a focus on Campus Solutions.
* Proven expertise in core PeopleTools:
* PeopleCode (Application Classes, Event-Driven Programming)
* Application Engine
* SQR
* Component Interfaces
* Application Packages
* Fluid UI development and customization
* Strong experience with Integration Broker, REST/SOAP web services, and other integration technologies.
* Proficiency in SQL and experience with Oracle or SQL Server databases.
* Experience with reporting tools such as XML Publisher (BI Publisher), PS Query, and nVision.
* Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with one or more core CS modules: Student Records, Admissions, Financial Aid, Academic Advising, Campus Community.
* Experience with PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) and applying selective adoption.
* Knowledge of PeopleSoft Security (Roles, Permission Lists, User Profiles).
* Experience with Elasticsearch (PeopleSoft Search Framework).
* Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
* Experience in a higher education environment is a significant plus.
