You will play an important role within our team and be responsible for off-line generation of CNC programs (Using Edgecam/Catia programming), machining strategy, tool path generation and interpretation of technical drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerances.In Terms Of More Specific Responsibilities, You WillUndertake CNC component machining on a range of defence projects to meet scheduled requirementsEnsure that all appropriate documentation for engineering systems and defect reporting are incorporated for traceabilityLiaise with BAE Systems’ Quality staff to ensure compliance with project quality requirementsComply with BAE Systems Safety, Health and Environment procedures with the requirements of the BAE Systems’ Quality systems as they relate to respective areas of activityAlert the organisation to potential or known problems that affect the quality of BAE Systems’ products and servicesProvide input and offer recommendations for the improvement of company processes and proceduresValidate parts as they are manufacturedAs an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you’ll possess:Experienced in programming and operating CNC multi axis machining centres using Fanuc, Heidenhain, Mazatrol and Siemans controllers.CAD/CAM programming experience including manufacturing and modelling using Edgecam/Catia/Inventor software.An appropriate mechanical trade qualificationA high level of computer literacyA strong team focus and a can do attitudeThe ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholdersRelocation assistance support will be provided for candidates that require to relocate within closer location proximityClearancesAs a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain clearances.Further information regarding security clearancesInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.Applications should be addressed to: Sara Milne, Talent Acquisition SpecialistPlease ensure you attach a current resume and copy of your relevant qualification(s) to your application.
