They are the people who quietly make things happen behind the scenes, remove barriers, connect the right supports, and help participants and families navigate complex systems with confidence.

We’re looking for an experienced Participant Liaison Officer (PLO) to join our Bundaberg team — someone who brings strong knowledge of NDIS and Child Safety systems, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage complex participant needs with professionalism and heart.

About the Role

As a Participant Liaison Officer, you will play a critical role supporting participants, families, and internal teams to ensure supports are coordinated, effective, and responsive.

You will act as a key connection point between participants, families, support workers, external stakeholders, and internal teams, ensuring that supports are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with participant goals.

This role requires someone who can balance empathy with strong organisational skills, manage competing priorities, and confidently navigate complex service systems.

Key Responsibilities

* Act as the primary liaison between participants, families, support workers and external stakeholders
* Coordinate and monitor participant supports to ensure services are delivered effectively
* Work closely with Child Safety, NDIS representatives, families and other agencies
* Support participants with complex needs and ensure services align with care plans and goals
* Identify and resolve issues quickly while maintaining positive relationships
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational and compliance requirements
* Contribute to a collaborative, creative team culture

About You

We are looking for someone who brings both experience and the right mindset.

You will ideally have:

* Experience working with NDIS participants
* Experience working within or alongside the Child Safety system
* Strong understanding of participant-centred support and safeguarding
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* The ability to manage multiple participants and priorities
* Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
* Confidence working within a fast-paced, evolving environment

Essential Requirements

* Experience in disability, child protection, community services or a related field
* Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain)
* Current Driver’s Licence
