Infrastructure Solution Architect Job
Job Description:
The Infrastructure Solution Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing integrated archive solutions for data. This individual will work within a multidisciplinary team to develop solution architectures in accordance with Architecture Principles, reference architectures, and Security guidelines.
Responsibilities:
* Develop Solution Architectures: Develop solution architectures in accordance with Architecture Principles, reference architectures, and Security guidelines.
* Engage with Vendors: Engage with vendor(s), planning, and delivery teams in developing solution architectures.
* Work with Organisational Capabilities: Work with organisational capabilities to ensure the overall architecture is consistent with, and fully supports, the overall business and platform architectures for the environment.
* Assist in Specifying Infrastructure Requirements: Assist in specifying the infrastructure requirements and architecture required to support the services architecture.
* Estimate Budgetary Resources: Assist in estimating budgetary resources, schedules, and costs required for the solutions.
* Develop Patterns: Assist in developing patterns when requested.
* Develop Service Migration and Deployment Models: Develop in consultation with Stakeholders service migration and deployment models that will adhere to project and program dependencies and outcomes.
* Produce Architecture-Related Deliverables: Work with internal stakeholders and external vendors in producing Architecture-related deliverables.
* Act as Main Point of Contact: Act as main point of contact for the solution architecture(s) with internal and external stakeholders for the projects assigned.
* Support Procurements: Support procurements of hardware, software, and services as required for projects, including ensuring appropriate components, services, and activities are undertaken for transition and operation.
* Advise Delivery Capabilities: As and where necessary, advise delivery capabilities in completion of assigned activities.
* Facilitate Knowledge Capture and Transfer: Facilitate knowledge capture and transfer as a consistent way-of-working.
About You:
1. Solution Architecture Experience: 10+ years of Solution Architecture experience.
2. Relationship Building: Ability to build relationships with senior managers and staff and an ability to effectively communicate and influence both business and technical staff.
3. Security Understanding: Understanding of how to design services to meet security requirements.
4. Archive Solutions Experience: Prior experience with data archive solutions or system operations.
5. Domain Knowledge: Sound domain knowledge, certification, and/or experience in the following: IT Architecture, Infrastructure, Networking, Security, Applications, and Operations.
6. Secure Solutions Development: Experienced in developing solutions that are secure and aligned with ISM security policies.
7. Systems Administration: Experienced in systems administration.
8. Architecture Models and Methodologies: Experience with Architecture Models and Methodologies.
9. Collaboration Tools: Working with Office365 including SharePoint, Teams, and collaboration tools such as Jira and Gitlab.
10. Federal Government Technology: Familiarity with Federal Government technology and processes – including Procurement, Finance, and Enterprise Project Management Office.
11. TOGAF Accreditation: TOGAF accreditation.
