We currently have an opportunity for a LATE 3rd - 4th year Boilermaking and or Sheet-Metal Apprentice. Our Host Employer is located in Ipswich and for the right candidate there could be the opportunity of dual trading once completing their Boilermaking or Sheet-Metal apprenticeship.
Applicants will meet the following criteria:
* Experience working with stainless, aluminium and mild steel material
* Can MIG & TIG weld (weld test will be required)
* Produce high quality finishes
* Can operate benders, cutters, saws, etc
* Can work well independently and or in a team
* Can complete jobs in a timely manner and allotted timeframes
* Good Listener, can follow instructions and good communication skills
* Be punctual and have a good attendance record
* Be motivated and have a positive attitude
* Able to work safely
* Basic own tools required
* College modules preferably all up to date
* Forklift licence would be beneficial but not essential
* Possess a driver's licence with reliable transport
* Be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status
* Be able to work in a drug free environment and willing to undergo testing
* Be open to gaining more experience and skills.

Upon successful completion of a Boilermaking and or Sheet-Metal apprenticeship, the apprentice will receive a nationally accredited Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking / Welding) or (Sheet-Metal)
