As a Business Support Officer within the Major Development team, you will provide critical coordination and administrative support to leaders in a collaborative and purpose‐driven environment focused on delivering essential infrastructure outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
* Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration (or equivalent experience)
* Experience prioritising workloads and meeting tight timeframes
* High level of integrity with the ability to manage confidential information
* Strong proficiency across Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proven ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Experience providing administrative and coordination support within a team environment
* Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a broader team
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills with initiative and sound judgement
Responsibilities
* Provide day‐to‐day administrative and coordination support to the Senior Manager and leadership team
* Manage calendars, inboxes, correspondence, and prioritise incoming communications
* Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and track actions and commitments
* Support engagement with government, housing, and development industry stakeholders
* Produce reports, correspondence, presentations, and spreadsheets in a timely and accurate manner
* Manage travel, training, conferences, and event logistics for the team
* Assist with onboarding, inductions, and coordination of new starters
* Support shared mailbox management and internal communications
* Maintain records management systems and ensure accurate documentation in line with the State Records Act 1997
* Contribute to improving internal systems, processes, and team efficiency
* Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and legislative requirements including WHS, ethical standards, and equal opportunity frameworks
